The Moberly-Jourdain Incident of 1901
In 1901, two English women, Charlotte Anne Moberly and Eleanor Jourdain, the principal and vice principal of St. Hugh’s College, Oxford, reported they had accidentally slipped back in time.
While visiting a small chateau in Versailles, the women claimed to find themselves in the time of the French Revolution where they saw Marie Antoinette, the Comte de Vaudreuil and some other people from the period of the French Revolution. A week later, they both recounted their experience separately and the details matched. Did they slip back in time?
